My week 1 CAD project was to design my final project, which I thought would be a desktop CNC mill. In SolidWorks, I designed a fairly complete CNC mill frame, complete with basic design for all 3 important moving parts. I also thought about how to increase the stability of the spindle, which I haven't really designed yet.

My week 2 project to design and fabricate a laser-cut cardboard construction kit involved a variety of parts intended to be able to make simplistic skeletal animals.

My week 3 project was to fabricate a Fab ISP, an in-system programmer for AVR microcontrollers. I modified mine with a useful (if unorthodox) switch.

My week 4 3D printing project started out with a miniature replica of Rob's clamp, followed by a trinket designed on Antimony and finally the first joint of a pan-tilt muffin fan mount.

My week 5 project was to make something big: I made a leaning bookcase and a shoe rack.

My week 6 project was to design the Hello World board, and I also designed (but didn't make) a Li-ion battery charger.

My week 7 project to mold and cast something ended without my completing the nice food mold I'd hoped for. However, I made a cool key!

My week 8 embedded programming project ended up being learning how to use the Watchdog Timer.

For output devices, I broke a fan and made a stepper motor driver.

For my week 10 input devices project, I designed a Hello World example for the I2S MEMS microphone.

For application programming, I learned Python and Tkinter and used them as part of a microcontroller control loop.

For our group machine project, Team Harvard Lab and I made an automated icing extruder, for which I designed program flow for a GUI to draw out whatever you would want to write on your cake. In the end, we spent most of the time wrestling with the Gestalt nodes.
