Final Project

I am in my final year of the two-year Leaders for Global Operations program at MIT pursuing my MBA and MS in Civil & Environmental Engineering. I have been looking forward to MAS.863 since I first learned about it in 2021. I am passionate about the impact that product design, development, and manufacturing can have on people's lives.
Prior to MIT, I lived in Kampala and scaled a company that designed, manufactured, and distributed small solar home systems for off-grid homes that have never had electricity access before. Our company reached over 600,000 homes, and is still growing to this day. I am interested in how designing and creating products can solve problems, but also to learn how FabLabs can continue to be expanded and scaled globally, empowering local entrepreneurs, businesses, and hobbyist to innvoate and develop new solutions catered to the local market.
