When I was smaller, I used to watch the anime Naruto, and intrigued by ninja's ability to stand or walk on water using chakra.
While in the real world we don't have chakra, I am always wondering if technology can help me achieve this water-walking dream.
A lot of the existing water-walking shoes only make use of the buoyancy of foam or inflated structures to balance the weight of human body, which resulted in really bulky design.
I wonder if I can add some other types of forces, like those generated by a propeller, to shrink the size of the shoes and make water-walking more elegant. I think the hardest part is to stay balanced on water, and I haven't come up with a good idea for that.
After doing more searches, I found this video, which spoke my mind and did exactly what I wanted to do.
But... I feel that this project might be too much for the class, so for the final project, I was thinking about building something like an electric hydrofoil.
The electric hydrofoil turned out to be a dream too. The final decision for the final project was a boat water quality monitor + humidifier.
