This week, each section of the class worked together to make a machine.
The EECS section made this Barduino machine
capable of dispensing, mixing, and serving drinks.
Contributions
I was primarily working on the turn table,
but also helping with other mechanisms.
My contributions are listed below:
CADed turn table's turning mechanism
Laser cut gears, table bottom layer, and some of the top plates
Helped with turn table structural design and assembly
CADed and 3D printed fixture between top plates and aluminum extrusion frames
Helped with attaching gears, sanding table top, routing LEDs,
integrating wiring connections, soldering some components, and debugging electronics.
Helped with designing and making magnetic stir bars that spin freely on the attached string
Helped with image taking for documentation
Acknowledgements
This was a big project and it was exciting to see the machine being constructed piece by piece.
I would like to thank our team members for their great efforts, all our staff and TAs for their help, and special thanks to Anthony
who stayed up so late with us (and treated us with froyo)!
