Cat jewelry? Tech enabled jewelry? Both?
I did some sketching to explore.
Top right shows digitally rotating images of cats inside a locket.
Bottom middle is basic necklack with a morning to evening fade. The sun slowly changes position throughout the day.
My thought here would be that it would look like real jewelry not like an Apple watch or wearable, but something slightly interactive and interesting while still genuinely being jewelry.
Less interested in glass heart, but was fun to sketch.
It's been years since I've modeled in Fusion 360 and usually when I had a choice I preferred Rhino. I don't remember Fusion being so robust! I also hadn't used the parametric function before so I joined testing that out here a bit.
I want to do a remake of the "mood" jewelry front the early 2000s… Neil suggested I use accelometer to detect motion and then I could work on converting that into something that influences the neopixels in the jewelry to slowly change color.
I want to also connect this to an at home display or app that visualizes your motion that day in a display of sorts.
Miana helped me think through a development plan so I can avoid dying during finals week :)
Input (sensor) week
- Get accelorameter to work
Output week
- Get neopixels to work with the accelorameter
- Get it to work and then move to minitureafter
Networking week
- Get it to talk to an SD card or SD + Wifi/Bluebooth + continuous wifi
Interface week
-UI/display stuff
