Hello! I’m Saetbyeol LeeYouk, diving into MIT’s legendary
How To Make (almost) Anything.
This course is taught by Prof. Neil Gershenfeld and supported by an incredible TAs.
The class is the seed that has grown into a global network of more than 25,000 fab labs.
My interests lie in physical computing and designing wearable interfaces to reimagine the relationships between humans - society, and human - nature that spark new debates, invite reflection, and open conversations.
I am a MAS student at the MIT Media Lab, working in the
Critical Matter Group.
From my previous projects, I explored physical computing with the integration of AI-mediated collective testimony about military sexual slavery during World War II. How can each capsule be the totem of collecting the memories and sending them to the next generation?
I also created an XR exhibition, an emotional training system for children with autism spectrum, and participatory design research about designing infrastructure for combating deepfake sexual crimes, working with activists and government-affiliated workers supporting survivors.
