Introduction

About Desmond

Desmond Lim is a current graduate student at Harvard and MIT. He has a strong interest in product design and development, and been involved in a variety of projects at the MIT Media Lab and Harvard Innovation Lab. Originally from Singapore, Desmond has lived and worked in San Francisco, New York, Boston, London, Seoul, and Beijing. He speaks fluent Mandarin and Korean.

Work experience

Desmond Lim started his career in investment banking with Merrill Lynch and UBS, before diving into product development with WeChat, a mobile app, based out of their New York office. Desmond has started a Thai food restaurant, a clothes trading company, and represented Singapore National Youth Team in basketball. His latest interests is in product development and design, and currently based out of Harvard Innovation Lab and MIT Media Lab working on a logistics tech start-up.
