Hi, I’m Qilmeg (say “Chillmeg”)

I design interactive ways to revisit meaningful places. My research sits at the intersection of immersive tech and cultural preservation, working with 3D scanning (photogrammetry, LiDAR), Gaussian splatting, and VR/AR to make memory feel spatial, legible, and a little more human. I prototype pipelines and interfaces (often in Unreal Engine) that let people re-enter spaces rather than just look at them.

Fun fact: Qilmeg actually means sunny in Mongolian ⊂(。╹ヮ╹。)つ

I’m currently in the SMArchS Computation program at MIT. Before this, I completed an M.Arch at the University of Michigan and a B.Eng in Civil Engineering at Southeast University (Nanjing).
