Week 14 — Wildcard Week: Glass Engraving

This week for wildcard week, I worked on glass engraving as part of my final project. The process was fairly simple. I started with several options from the photogrammetry I had done of a temple in my hometown. I modified and decimated the original mesh file because the XTool software had a 150 MB size limit.

The final mesh compared to the original photogrammetry is shown below:

Then I sliced and processed the files in XTool as an experiment to make sure things went well before cutting.

Final Production

I went to the CBA shop and, with the help of Quentin, the glass was engraved. The following image shows the final product:
