Playing with Grasshopper and Fusion360
Origami Design using Grasshopper
I created a simple origami pattern that can be adjusted by changing the number of folds and the size of the paper.
LEGO Design using Fusion360
I designed a LEGO block using Fusion360, focusing on precise dimensions and assembly features.
Final Case Design
Case Design Process
Using Fusion360, I designed a protective case for a small electronic device, ensuring it was both functional and aesthetically pleasing.
To make sure every electornics fit in the case and do not shake, ensuring the RFID reader is properly positioned and microphone have holes to get the better voice, and speaker to have the better sound, I designed
- (1) First the lid should be close to the RFID reader.
- (2) To measure the precise size and the position of the mounting holes, I used the exported my final PCB 3D in the KiCad and also used the RFID reader 3D design.
- (3) I ensured the microphone has holes to get better voice quality, and the speaker has openings for better sound.
- (4) I designed the case to securely hold all components in place, preventing any movement or damage during use.
- (5) I added USB connecting holes for charging and data transfer.
- (6) For the user interaction, I am considering for rock-pushing becuase current voice LLM is bad at recognizing the slience, so I tested with the spring and added the push button hole and wire holes in the bottom.
- (7) Because each components are attached to electronic parts, I designed with parametric design and separately designed them as separate component and 3D printed separately.
