seth raphaël is a new masters student in affective computing in the media lab. His interests lie in the realm between human expectation of computers, and their actual abilities. Using magic tricks to exploit this, he creates modern day magic tricks exploring two ends of the spectrum. At one end he uses modern technology to recreate the illusions of the past, only in reality this time. At the opposite end, he creates the illusions of tomorrow by combining today's technology with the tradition of magic to create unbelievable new technologies.
