Final project: transmission lines and antennas

For my final project, I decided to do a deep dive in the world of transmission lines and antennas. I show pracitcal ways to make your own antenna from scratch, with careful considerations about impedance matching and the substrate’s permittivity.

The final result is a printed dipole antenna that can transmit WiFi data at 2.4 GHz:
