Arabesque decoration for the ceiling
Photo of the ceiling in my room: Maseeh Hall. I wanted to design a foam sheet that fits around the two lights.
A closer look. The outer diameter of the light circular frame is about 12.5 inches
Art: Arabesque has nice circular and round shapes so I thought they would make a neat pattern in the ceiling.
After following the tutorial in Adobe illustrator, Here's the design for the first quarter

This is the final photo after cleaning the curves in Inkscape and introducing the middle circle to fit around the light frame
Imported the design in Solidworks for visualization
The next step: mill two of those (each is 4ft by 4ft) on a 8ft by 4 ft blue foam sheet. The dark parts are buckets
