Concept: a compact modular toolkit for prototyping actuated surfaces
I started with the idea of creating programmable velcro ~ surfaces that could be actuated to grab and release themselves from other surfaces.
The design of the surfaces themselves turned out to be more time consuming than expected (so many options, origami, kirigami, flexures, etc).
I knew however that I would need some simple and compact way of actuating them. This project is now more of a starting point for
further research: I have tried to develop a tool that I can use to prototype actuated surfaces.
