Graph Interfaces

Boards / design / idea together for April 15. At this point, enough threads started, if I can finish them all for EOT, success.

The network codes I am working on should be extendable across graphs of considerable breadth / depth, but oddly machines don’t stretch this limit too often, so I want a kind of demo project that might. This would be ~ on order 16 (to start, more later) modules. I think something like a snap-together interface would be cool, to show controller reconfiguration in realtime / responsiveness to graph changes. Not sure what the application is, maybe just lights, but probably more interesting would be some kind of audio / music machine.

  • hotplugging modules
  • possible grid-of-modules / magnetic snap
  • flowcontrol / network robustness testing
    • pipe image through grid reassembling browser-to-browser
    • audio “streams” to i.e. FFT’d grid of accoustic transducers maybe the coolest: requires timestamping, could do i.e. microphone and output to do system ID / analyze spectra from new modules added. can use stepper drivers to control transducers
