About

Hey there! I'm Emily G, a second-year masters student in MIT's Department of Mechanical Engineering. I am taking this course, MAS.863: How to Make (Almost) Anything, in order to become a real engineer (I have never actually built anything!). I am interested in designing technologies that help uplift communities in developing countries out of poverty, and I hope to apply the fabrication skills learned in this class to prototyping these techologies. You can read more about my previous (mis)adventures in international development on my blog.
