Specification
- what it does

This component is a set of lead-screw like "knit loop holders." It lifts loops up and down. This is necessary feature for solid knitting because it needs to insert a knitting needle through already knitted loops.



Each row needs to be controlled separately.

- the overall size
width:190 depth:80 height:~240 [mm]
I'm thinking of take each row apart and make them detachable so that the number of rows can be increased and decreased easily.

- the cost and complexity

I firstly thought of this design with fancy rods with keyway grooves but I found it too costly, and I changed the design to the one which fixes the rods not to rotate, and only rotates the knit loop holders. So the holders act like bearings. Obviously it is not precise, but I think it is enough for the purpose of changing height-dir positions of loops with precision of ± ~2 mm.
