I'm done with the design modification of the driven rods from the shaft-fixed design to the shaft-rotating one.



To change it to the shaft-rotating, I needed to add this part enclosing a set collar on the top.
This is because I wanted to utilize the set screw as a "key" to fix the 3D printed part to the shaft (see week 4/11).
After knitting, the machine will push up the knitted object to be taken out from these rods, we need to consider the gap between the top parts.
2 mm seemed fine, and I set the gap 2 mm.

Next to do:
- Make and test the new holder


As a side note..
Our paper on solid knitting, including my previous prototype of the machine, got accepted to Transactions on Graphics (SIGGRAPH)!
