The task this week was to mill and solder a small Printed Circuit Board with a USB Microcontroller. Starting with the milling, I worked with a few other students to CNC mill the copper. We ran into some challenges knowing how much pressure the end mill should be putting on the copper, and had some trouble getting the mill to zero. Once we sorted out these issues things went smoothly.
I have previously soldered larger components, but never using a microscope. It took some time to get used to working on such a small scale, but it eventually became a fairly intuitive and satisfying process
