After warming up with the 'MIT' logo I moved on to cutting the logo of the laboratory I work in as a research assistant, Research Laboratory of Electronics (RLE). The RLE logo is an extremely intricate and would test the capabilities of the device and my patience for weeding. The .png file used is linked and shown to the left.
The RLE image I used was unfilled and contained only lines. I immediately recalled after starting the cut on this logo that the vinyl cutter cuts slightly off set from black to white, so when presented with a black line it will cut slightly off set on both sides of the line. All in all, I should have edited the image prior to cutting to be a filled image, but decided to let the cut run to completion and mentally prepare myself for weeding. Though the "Grainger Energy Machines Facility" verbiage below the GEM emblem is not legible, overall I was impressed with the ability of the device to cut such fine details.
