About Me: I am entering my second year of graduate studies at MIT pursuing an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering. I am a self-proclaimed tinkerer, husband, father of three, Coastie, and avid runner. I am excited for this to be my first in-person course at MIT.
Purpose: Welcome to my journey through Prof. Neil Gershenfeld's making course, 4.140 How to Make (Almost) Anything. This site documents my weekly assignments and final project for the course.

General Notes
To Aspiring Students: Be well advised that participating in this course requires a significant time investment every week. The topics covered are vast and lectures are designed to provide general guidance and inspiration. The bulk of learning is self-driven and is accomplished outside of class and recitation hours. You drive the depth that you dive into each topic. The weekly assignments are fully obtainable regardless of your previous expertise. This is easier said than done, but try to resist the temptation of comparing the sophistication of your work with others, instead focus on enhancing your breadth of knowledge with each topic.
Git Hub Site: All of my design file smaller than 1 MB have been uploaded to the EECS repository and hyperlinked. All files greater than 1 MB have been uploaded to my git hub page here and hyperlinked.
Programs Learned/Used:
Appreciation: I would like to extend my gratitude to everyone in the EECS section for their inspiration and encouragement throughout this course and to our Lab Assistant Anthony for his fearless leadership and keen ability to spur learning. I would also like to thank Katherine for her assistance with general website development, as I insisted on not using a template to create this site.
