Composites Week

This week we were asked to create a omposite cast, and as part of the class were shown "Exactflat", a new program that can be used to unroll meshes. I thought it would be interesting to test it, and see how well it worked.

During the first itteration I had some problems makeing the fabric unroll. Exact flat was not pelting the shape with joints but rather just making it one single surface. So i decived to try and snip the shape myself in Rhino, and see if it unrolled better. It turns out that this did the trick, i was able to position my cut, and the shape unrolled into something that intuitively looked correct.
