Hi, I'm Kathy! I'm a senior at MIT majoring in Course 6-3 (computer science) and 18 (mathematics). Here, I showcase all the projects that I've worked on for the class "How to Make (Almost) Anything".
Each week consisted of a weekly assignment centered around a different fabrication technique. The class culminated in an open-ended final project that incorporated all the techniques learned throughout the semester. You can find more information about each weekly assignment and the final project below! If you'd like to reproduce any project, all relevant files are linked at the bottom of each page.
A bit about why I'm taking this class: I come from a mostly software background, so I wanted to explore more hands-on things and hardware in my last semester here.
This class was a lot of fun and I learned so much! Thank you so much to Professor Neil Gershenfeld and Instructor Anthony Pennes for an amazing semester!
