PROJECT 01 | COMPUTER-CONTROLLED CUTTING
a presskit mannequin and stickers
I'm Molly. I'm a graduate student in the Design and Computation Group at MIT's School of Architecture. Before all this MIT stuff started, I studied architecture at Pratt Institute and spent several years working as a designer in New York City where I collaborated with people to make buildings, furniture, artwork, and experiences.
At MIT, I'm researching how we can fabricate responsive environments. But as someone who has worked as both a designer and a fabricator, I'm also interested in the decisions people make as they design and make things. Therefore my research is not just how technology creates environments capable of change but how our own understanding of self and body changes in the face of technology.
