MECHANICAL MACHINE DESIGN - week14    
This week I worked with a team to help Shaun create his actuated chessboard. Jin, Travis and Sujoy were the members. A couple of us were in charge of the mechanism behind the actuated magnet that would attach and detach itself from the chess embedded with a magnet. My approach was to use a servo motor to change the distance between the two magnets. I built the box and wrote short lines on processing and arduino to move the servo motor. The first video shows my initial build. The second video was shot after we added the magnet box into Shaun's platform:
