Hi, I'm Kyle!
I am a fourth year PhD candidate in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at MIT researching In-Situ Resource Utilization for planetary exploration. My background includes the Mars Oxygen ISRU Experiment (MOXIE) onboard the Perseverance Rover, the Lunar ISRU project Blue Alchemist at Blue Origin, the NASA Solar Sailing Spacecraft, and more!
In addition to my thesis work, I also conduct research in microgravity. My investigations focus on expanding the accessibility of human spaceflight by testing insulin pumps in transient gravitational loadings. As a Type 1 Diabetic myself, this work will carve a path to space for my community.
Outside of research I am a licensed EMT-B and volunteer with MIT EMS, I fly as a student pilot, I dive as a certified rescue diver, and I explore nature!
